Evan Turner has been March Maniac's pick for National POY for the entire season, and we ain't changing for John Wall anytime soon.
However, perhaps the most important player in the country you haven't heard much about will be playing on the other side tonight when Purdue brings their #4 ranking into Colombus tonight to battle the Bucks for the Big Ten lead. No, it's not Robbie Hummel, despite what nearly every Purdue game promo might lead you to believe. (have you noticed that? Every time Purdue is going to be on it's "Robbie Hummel and the Purdue Boilermakers...) Hummel is a very good player. E'Twaun Moore has the ability to be special and be the difference maker in helping this team get to Indianapolis in April.
Against Michigan State last week, Moore simply took over the game for a crucial three minute stretch late in the second half when the Spartans were beginning to wrestle back some momentum. He showed signs of being a player that can throw a team on his back and win them a ballgame.
He might need to tonight in Colombus - either way, I really like both of these teams for March. I've written extensively about both - so no official pick tonight, just enjoy a really high level college basketball game.
