Some pundits have already extoled the "courage" of Calhoun to schedule this game. Yes, courageous indeed. While other national title hopefuls like North Carolina, Duke and Oklahoma have taken on Michigan St, Purdue, and Notre Dame, and while Texas bided time with the aforementioned Irish and UCLA, the Huskies tested their mettle against... Buffalo.

In a performance remincent of recent tourney no-shows against George Mason, UConn again showed the inability to focus against lesser competition. It is a long season, but an early sign that the Huskies are Final Four talented, but not quite Final Four tough.
